Who Is Jesus Really

 

Scripture: Philippians 2:5-11 (NIV)

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

His resurrection on the third day signified victory over sin and death, assuring believers of their eternal hope and salvation.

God’s exaltation of Jesus is a testament to His divine sonship. By bestowing upon Him the name above all names, God affirmed Jesus’ lordship over all creation. This exaltation compels every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, bringing glory to God the Father.

In extolling Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we acknowledge His unique role in the divine plan of redemption. His life, death, and resurrection are the cornerstones of our faith, inspiring us to live according to His teachings and share the good news of His love with the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is indeed the Savior and Redeemer of all humanity.

            Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your one and only begotten son, Jesus, to save us from our sins. We worship you because you came not to judge and condemn but to show us how much you love us. May we delight to serve others as you delighted to serve us through teaching, healing, and ultimately dying and rising to set us free from the bonds of sin. All glory, honor, and power will be yours.
